Schur Flexibles

In 2011, capiton entered a partnership with the industry manager Jakob Mosser, to jointly invest in the flexible packaging market. The concept set out to develop a leading European supplier in the fragmented market for flexible packaging, within the framework of a buy-and-build strategy and with the focus being on high-quality products. This would result in significant potential for synergies, in particular with regard to (i) scale advantages in purchasing, (ii) sale synergies and (iii) value chain integration. Since then, capiton has made eight complementary acquisitions across Europe, and has integrated them into one group under the ‚Schur Flexibles‘ brand. Schur Flexibles is today among the top 10 flexible packaging players in Europe. The corporate group operates 11 production sites in seven European countries and employs around 1,300 people. In 2016, capiton successfully sold the company to financial investor Lindsay Goldberg Vogel, who will continue to implement the buy-and-build strategy in conjunction with the existing management team.
