Between 1999 and a successful IPO in 2006, capiton supported the Swiss company Meyer Burger Group. Meyer Burger is a leading provider of saws for cutting silicon blocks. The machines are mainly used in the photovoltaic, semiconductor and optoelectronic industries. By the end of the investment, Meyer Burger had subsidiaries in China and Japan as well as service centres in Germany, Italy and the Philippines.
