The company is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of laser projection and measurement systems in the medical and industrial sector. Since 1984, LAP GmbH Laser has developed, produced and marketed laser applications from its main site in Lüneburg, and it has become a global leader in the field of laser components and system solutions for reproducible positioning of patients in radiation oncology. LAP also sells projection and measuring systems for a variety of industrial applications, e.g. in the steel, aerospace and wind power industries. The company has sales locations in the USA, France, China and India & the ASEAN region. In 2015, capiton acquired an interest in the company in the course of a shareholder reorganisation process. capiton was able to secure the resignation of older shareholders and the inclusion of appointed managers on the Board.
