Essener Hochdruckrohrleitungsbau (EHR)

EHR (‚Essener Hochdruck-Rohrleitungsbau GmbH‘, today ‚Bilfinger Piping‘) was founded in Essen in 1947, and between 1970 and 1999 it represented a substantial core of the renowned Mannesmann-Anlagenbau. The company was sold to the French company Technip in 1999 in the course of the Mannesmann divestiture by Vodafone. In collaboration with management, capiton acquired the company in 2004 from Technip Group within the context of a carve-out. The company is a market leader in the engineering and production, as well as the installation and maintenance of high-pressure piping. The high-pressure piping systems are mainly used in the power plant sector, in addition to the chemical and petrochemical industry. The company’s excellent progress led to its sale in 2006 to Bilfinger Berger Group.
