AEMtec and aSpect Systems Join Forces to Expand Technology Portfolio

Berlin, January 2025 – AEMtec GmbH, a global leader in micro- and optoelectronics, is pleased to announce the acquisition of aSpect Systems GmbH, a renowned provider of semiconductor testing solutions.

This merger enables both companies to combine their respective strengths and offer customers even more comprehensive solutions. While AEMtec brings global reach and expertise in the area of advanced packaging, aSpect Systems contributes deep technical knowledge and specialized technologies in the semiconductor test environment. Both companies will remain operationally independent, continuing to operate with their proven structures, locations, and leadership teams to ensure maximum stability and reliability.

With aSpect Systems we gain a partner that is an ideal fit for us. By working closely together, we can better address customer needs and deliver innovative solutions across the entire value chain,” says Robert Giertz, CTO of AEMtec. “At the same time, customers will retain direct access to the established contacts and expert teams of both companies.”

Marcus Verhoeven, Managing Director of aSpect Systems, adds: “Joining forces with AEMtec opens up new opportunities for us to further develop our solutions and reach a broader customer base. It is important to us that our customers continue to benefit from the flexibility and specialized expertise they have come to rely on.”

Thomas Brake, Director at the private equity company capiton AG, emphasizes the strategic importance of this acquisition: “This partnership is a key milestone for the AEMtec Group. By combining aSpect Systems’ specialized expertise with Armtec’s global reach, we are not only creating added value for both companies’ customers but are also laying the foundation for sustainable growth in a rapidly evolving market. Our investment in this partnership reflects our confidence in the innovative strength of both companies and their ability to meet future challenges together.”

This partnership creates value for both sides: customers benefit from optimized collaboration, enabling faster and tailored solutions, while the companies accelerate innovation and increase efficiencies through their combined expertise.
